Honda has issued a recall for certain Gold Wing models in India due to a faulty primary drive gear bolt that may cause the engine to stall. Affected motorcycles, manufactured between March 2018 and May 2021, will receive free part replacements at authorized dealerships starting in December 2024.

Detailed News on Honda Gold Wing Recall

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a recall of its premium touring bike, the GL1800 Gold Wing, produced between March 2018 and May 2021. This recall addresses a critical issue with the primary drive gear fastening bolt, which could potentially break and lead to unexpected engine stoppage. The recall reflects Honda's commitment to safety, as a broken bolt may interrupt power transmission, posing a risk to riders.

Replacement parts for the affected Gold Wing models will be available at Honda BigWing dealerships across India from mid-December 2024. Honda has stated that these replacements will be performed free of charge, regardless of the bike's warranty status. Affected owners will be contacted by Honda, and they can also verify recall eligibility by entering their VIN on the official Honda BigWing website.
